Victory Equine Centre is the riding school we opened in April 2009 on the grounds of Cedar Ridge Farm in Frederick, Maryland. Classes are led by instructors Robin Henry and Cathy Solan. Click on the Instructors tab to meet Robin and Cathy. Classes are offered in balance seat riding, all levels of dressage and hunter/jumper, cross-country, and Western. Watch for clinics in Arabian sport horse in hand in spring 2010 and other, TBD. Students belong to Victory Riding Club and enjoy the benefits of social interaction, horsemanship clinics, learning and FUN. See photos in the gallery. Check out our Leasing Program, below.

Other client services include Write What You Know workshops for authors who want to learn about horses; clinics in sport horse, biomechanics, equestrian exercise, and more; stress management using horses; birthday parties; corporate parties; horse day camp for adults. IMPORTANT: To cancel, please contact the office (301) 631-2722 or by e-mail VictoryEquine@aol.com 24 hours ahead of the scheduled lesson time, or you will be charged for the missed lesson. Lessons canceled due to bad weather or illness will be rescheduled. Please read the lesson program brochure.

Do you want to have a horse, but you are not ready for the entire responsibility of purchase price, boarding, farrier, and vet? Consider a partial lease for only $150/month, which allows you to ride "your" horse in lessons and have one practice ride each week. Practice rides are limited to the indoor arena, with supervision: Rule #1: Never ride alone. Leases are granted with instructor approval.

The following horses are available for two partial leases each, at Victory Equine Centre only. See photos in the gallery above or on the Sales Page.

           Buddy--large pony 14:1h, 10 years, shown in Western, hunter classes. Jumps 2'6". Trails, great Western jog (slow trot). Great all-round pony.
           Autumn--pony, 13:1h, 10 years, excellent for Pretty Pony riders, petite older children
        Sarafina--Egyptian Arabian horse, 16h, 18 years, hunter type, intermediate rider
           Cassie--Irish Sport Horse, 14:3h, 5 years, shown in dressage W/T, earning 9s on trot circles. Low jumps. Intermediate rider.

STRESS MANAGEMENT USING HORSES

Stress management--weekend sessions, corporate sessions for 3-4 days--planned for 2010, using the principles of EAGALA. We are especially interested in working with the US Dept. of Veteran Affairs for returning veterans.
