Our dear friend Farah died early Sunday morning, May 17, 2009.  We will miss her terribly.

Farah is the most accomplished foal sired by Imperial ImSirdar.   Here are  highlights of her show ring career:

• 1998 Pacific Slope Champion Hunter, JTR

• 1998 Region III Top Five Hunter, JTR

• Unanimous champion, Westen Pleasure, open & amateur, 
  1996 Egyptian Event, plus Class A championships

• 1992 Grand Champion Mare, Halter

Now Farah is winning again, as a producer of superb straight Egyptian foals.  See Cedars Rajiyyah (by Makhsous), Cedars KenyaCatchMe (by Botswana), and Cedars Jazzy Gemma, by Gatsby cc (*Shahir X Miss Maggie Mae by The Minstril).  

Farahs gorgeous 2005 filly by True Colours,  Amirat Al Alwan, "Princess of the Colors," has the charisma and type of movement that European breeders seek.  She earned a Top Five at the prestigious Las Vegas Arabian Breeders World Cup April 20-22, 2007, handled by Johanna Ullstrom.  Amira has been sold and exported to Qatar.

In 2008, Farah gave us an extraordinary grey colt by Israeli Champion Laheeb (Imperial Imdal X AK Latifa).  This special colt passed away August 16, 2009, of complications from antibiotic treatment.
