Scholarship Application Deadline Extended Our scholarship program is extended to 5 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Competition includes a 500-word essay about the importance of riding and horses AND a riding evaluation of the top five entrants by our instructors. The prize is a private, four-week lesson session for a beginner/intermediate student. This need-based scholarship was originally designed for young riders, ages 10-21, whose circumstances prevent them from taking private riding lessons to improve their skills. However, we have had inquiries from older riders and conclude that, since the economy has affected everyone, we will open our scholarship to everyone age 8 and older.
